King Kiruhura

Born in the village of Bwegera in Congo Kinshasa, King Kiruhura's journey has been one of resilience, determination, and leadership. As a young refugee from Muying, Garowe in Burundi, he navigated challenges with unwavering resolve, ultimately finding his way to the United States.

Settling in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, King Kiruhura embraced his passion for soccer and quickly became a pivotal figure in the local soccer community. A graduate of Washington High School, he completed his high school education on May 25, 2023, marking a significant milestone in his journey.

Currently pursuing studies in engineering and criminal justice at Kirkwood Community College, King Kiruhura remains dedicated to his academic pursuits while balancing his love for soccer and bowling. His commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his leadership role as the founder and leader of Mulenge FC, a thriving soccer team representing the Abanyamurenge tribe.

Under King Kiruhura's guidance, Mulenge FC has flourished, becoming a symbol of unity, pride, and sportsmanship in the Cedar Rapids area. His vision for the team transcends the boundaries of the soccer field, empowering his community and inspiring others to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
